ROLE DESCRIPTION:

As Account Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member for Candace Crossan State Farm Insurance Agency, you are vital to our daily business operations and success. You grow our agency through meaningful customer relations and acting as a liaison between customer needs and agency departments. You improve the lives of our customers by proactively marketing relevant products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide information about insurance products and services.
  • Assist customers with policy applications and renewals.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide timely responses.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, friendly, cost-effective sales service by responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, and payment plans and procedures. 
  • Be knowledgeable of all products offered. 
  • Pivot for sales opportunities and referrals with each transaction.
  • Meet individual sales goals as directed by Agent.
  • Prepare forms, policies, and endorsements when required.
  • Proactively contact prospects and current policyholders for sales appointments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the agent.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask.
  • Experience in customer service or sales preferred.
  • Strong listening, oral and written communications skills.
  • Initiative and Self Reliance: make decisions on a timely basis and take necessary actions without direction from others.
  • Goal oriented: highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results.
  • Ability to learn and apply product and customer knowledge to professionally service and assist in the marketing of State Farm products.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to create and maintain business relationships with prospects and policyholders.
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability and ethical behavior.
  • Ability to be organized, and act on several activities concurrently and effectively.
  • Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs

  • Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred

  • Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain)
  • Life and Health license (must be able to obtain)
